Chicken glutinous rice, also known as loh mai kai/ lo mai gai is a classic dim sum dish. It usually consists of steamed glutinous rice or sticky rice accompanied by some chicken, mushroom and char siew. In restaurants, it is usually steamed in a metal bowl in the kitchen and served on a plate with the bowl upside down, giving it that signature ‘look’.

Cooking Instructions:

Steam (Recommended)

  1. Prepare water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Pour some oil on a plate and place frozen dim sum on it.
  3. Steam for approximately 25 minutes. Actual time may vary depending on your steamer.
  4. Carefully remove from steamer and enjoy!
